It’s graduation time at the Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University for 174 students receiving diplomas and certificates during the 2019 graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday, June 14
The event takes place at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium of MI’s Ridge Road campus in St. John’s.
The ceremony will include remarks from Glenn Blackwood, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute) and Michaela Barnes, student speaker who is graduating from the ocean mapping program.
During Memorial’s recent spring convocation, 260 bachelor’s and master’s degrees were presented to Marine Institute graduates.
As part of MI’s graduation celebration activities, students, friends and family are invited to share their graduation congratulations, photos and special moments via social media using the hashtag #MIgrad19. You can join the celebration on Twitter, Instagram and the Marine Institute Facebook page.
The ceremony will be broadcast live beginning at 2 p.m. (Nfld. time) and archived on the Marine Institute’s YouTube channel for future viewing.
