Thursday, November 17, 2011

In the past two weeks, the office has added two new employees who will administer and develop activities at the centre and in the region.

Coordinating instructor, Capt. Jack Greenham, started work at the Centre on October 31st. Jack brings over 30 years experience in the marine and fishing sectors and holds a Fishing Masters Class I, Master Near Coastal and a Bachelor of Maritime Studies. Jack is looking forward to bringing the Marine Institute's range of courses and programs to the central region.

The centre also recently welcomed Alicia Anderson as the new regional liaison officer. Alicia has a business degree in international marketing and knows the central region well. Alicia is spending her first week on the job at the main campus to familiarize herself with the various courses, programs and research activities that are offered through the Marine Institute. Alicia is looking forward to working with the various industries that MI serves in the region.
