The MI Career Fair is designed to provide students and alumni the opportunity to learn more about current and future career opportunities while offering the chance to network with representatives from a variety of provincial, national and international organizations.
The Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University of Newfoundland will host its annual Career Fair on Feb. 9 and 10 at the Institute’s Ridge Road campus in St. John’s. Members of the media and the general public are invited to attend and are welcome to interview employers, students, MI alumni and Marine Institute personnel taking part, both prior to and during, the two-day event.
The MI Career Fair is designed to provide students and alumni the opportunity to learn more about current and future career opportunities while offering the chance to network with representatives from a variety of organizations. Provincial, national and international companies will gather at MI to meet current Marine Institute students and MI graduates. Organizations representing the marine transportation, ocean technology, aquaculture and food industries will be on hand throughout the event.
The Marine Institute Career Fair starts on Wednesday, Feb. 9 with Company and Alumni Presentations in Hampton Hall and the Industry Seminar Room from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Company and Alumni Presentations continue on Feb. 10. Also on Feb. 10, the Career Fair Exhibition takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the MI gymnasium. Students will have the opportunity to meet exhibitors and discuss their company and career opportunities available for both work term and full-time employment.
