The Marine Institute will showcase its new ocean mapping capabilities to Dr. Darin King, Minister of Education for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. at MI's Southside Marine Base at Pier 25 in St. John's Harbour
The Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University of Newfoundland will showcase its new ocean mapping capabilities to Dr. Darin King, Minister of Education for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. Minister King will take in a demonstration of MI’s state-of-the-art ocean mapping equipment during a tour of the Atlanticat at MI’s Southside Marine Base at Pier 25 in St. John’s Harbour. The media is invited to join the minister during his visit. During his tour, Minister King will be joined by Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor, Memorial University; Glenn Blackwood, executive director, Marine Institute; and Randy Gillespie, head of applied research, School of Ocean Technology, Marine Institute.
