Capabilities

The School of Fisheries is engaged in the design and development of workshops and training programs. The effectiveness of this training is enhanced through industrially relevant research.

The School's capabilities are organized around three broad areas:

Aquaculture

The following industrially relevant research is headed by the (CASD), with the exception of hydrodynamic testing:

Fisheries

Fisheries training ranges from short duration industrially relevant workshops, through full Fishing Masters programs, to technical certificates and master's degrees.

The following applied research in support of the fishing industry is the focus of the (CFER) and the (CSAR):

Food Processing

The School of Fisheries supports the food industries through the provision of short duration industrially relevant courses and workshops and through its on campus Food Technology and Food Safety programs.
